1.1 Platform Purpose and Eligibility

• Target Audience: The Road is a specialized business-to-business (B2B) platform designed exclusively for ICBC-registered driving instructors and driving schools operating in British Columbia.
• No Consumer Accounts: This platform is not intended for the general public. Students cannot create accounts; their profiles are managed strictly by licensed professionals.
• Compliance: Users must ensure they hold valid ICBC certifications and licenses to operate as driving instructors or schools in BC.

1.2 Account Registration and Security

• Instructors and school owners are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are fully responsible for all activities conducted under your account.

1.3 Student Data Input & Instructor Responsibility

• Consent: Instructors warrant that they have obtained the necessary consent from students (or parents/guardians for minors under 19) before entering their personal details, including Driver's License (DL) numbers, into the system.
• Accuracy: Instructors are solely responsible for the accuracy of the curriculum scores, lesson logs, and invoice details they input.

1.4 Review Integrity & Fair Competition

The public directory ranks driving schools based on student feedback. To maintain a fair marketplace, the following rules strictly apply:

• Eligibility: A review request may only be sent to a student with at least one completed, recorded session in the app. Limit of one review per student per instructor.
• Prohibited Conduct:
  • - Creating fake student profiles to generate fraudulent reviews.
  • - Offering financial incentives, discounts, or gifts in exchange for positive reviews.
  • - Submitting reviews on behalf of students without their direct action and knowledge.
  • - Any attempt to artificially inflate rankings.
• Enforcement: Violations will result in immediate removal of reviews, temporary suspension from the public directory, orpermanent account termination at our sole discretion.

1.5 Fees, Credits, and Payments

• Stripe Integration: Credit bundle purchases (e.g., Single Route Pack, City Cruiser Pack) are securely processed via Stripe.
• No Refund Policy: All credit purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable BC laws.
• Taxes: Prices are subject to applicable Canadian federal and provincial taxes (GST/PST).

1.6 Limitation of Liability

• The Road is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
• An independent developer operates the app; The Road is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official partner of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC).
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any ICBC audit outcomes.

1.7 Termination of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, fail to comply with ICBC regulations, or engage in behavior that harms the platform's integrity.
